      <image:title>Blog - Exploring: Art Gallery of Ontario - Opalka 1965 1-inf Detail 2648053 - 266839; Roman Opalka, c.1965</image:title>
<image:caption>This was probably my favorite piece that I saw that day. It is part of a collecction called 1 to infinity where Opalka began writing each number from 1 using white paint on a black canvas. The canvas got closer and closer to white as he counted increasingly larger numbers and in the end, the color of the canvas and the paint were both white. I like the use of the blank white canvas to end the work as it is similar to a mathematicians approach of using the limit as x tends to infinity to solve problems. Additionally, from afar it just looks like a simple grey painting with some lines, but looking closer reveals much more about the work. It's a metaphor for most things around us, where it looks simple from afar but you have to look closely to understand what is happening.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Exploring: Art Gallery of Ontario - The Academy, Kent Monkman, c. 2008</image:title>
<image:caption>For the following painting, the thing that initially caught my eye was the bright and vibrant colors created by Monkman (honestly, the photo doesn’t do it justice). It pulls you into the painting and forces you to explore the scene. While I do not understand what the nude men are doing, there is a clear group of people painting the scene. Each artist has an entirely different recreation, sending a message that whenver something is recreated/retold, the story will be changed becasue of how it was percieved by the person.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This following painting was inspired by the artist's time at Cape Pine. When she showed up she couldn't see anything throught the thick fog for a few days. I enjoyed how well the artist recreated the visual effect of being surrounded in fog in this work.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - GM Elderly Cargo Access Project</image:title>
<image:caption>Our design challenge was to develop a solution or system of solutions that alleviates the usability concerns seen by those aged 65+, specifically when loading and unloading their personal vehicle. While this project aims to mitigate the concerns of our target demographic, the solution must also be usable, and useful, to anyone else and must maintain an appeal towards the general population. The solution is also derived with the consideration that it would be implemented in 20 years, which provides an opportunity to utilize future technologies in our design. We won best project in our category.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Skydiving Communication Gloves</image:title>
<image:caption>The goal of this project was to create a wearable device used to communicate between people. This project implements a glove that picks up skydiving signals using touch and accelerometer sensors and transmits them to the other person's glove where it is viewable on an LED array. This allows for communication is bad weather situations, or simply for practicing. This project utilized Arduino for prototyping.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Research: Seed Metering</image:title>
<image:caption>This is the final iteration of a seed metering system design used by farmers in Bangladesh. In the original design, the teeth were inadequately designed to grab and hold onto the seed. Also, the plate rubbed against the holder causing too much friction, and eroded the key. This project solved the operating problems by changing the design and making the part from plastic instead of metal to simplify the manufacturing process.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work - Formula SAE: Chassis</image:title>
<image:caption>The primary function of the chassis is to connect all four wheels of the race car and provide mounting locations for all components on the car. An effective chassis will protect the driver in case of a collision and absorb all suspension, powertrain, aerodynamic loads without deflecting excessively. I successfully decreased the weight of the chassis by 18% and increased the torsional stiffness by 32%</image:caption>
